25 May Fun in the Moment: A FUN-draiser for the Avon 39 Walk to End Breast Cancer

Have you ever heard of the Avon 39 Walk to End Breast Cancer? It is a 39.3 mile walk that takes place over the course of one weekend in October. It raises funds to support people whose lives have been affected by breast cancer, as well as the ground-breaking research going on in breast cancer treatment and prevention.

In 2015, my friend Lenore found out about the walk and was inspired! She started training and fundraising so that she could participate in the 2016 walk, and she also started talking about it with her friends, and at Monday Night Alive! and weekend seminars with Ariel and Shya Kane in NYC. Her inspiration and passion were contagious: I, along with several other people from the Kanes’ community, decided to join Lenore’s walking team, and we became “Team Transformation.” Attending the Kanes’ seminars really supported us in getting past our limited thoughts of what we were capable of, and it was fun and easy to raise money and train together! All together, we raised $14,000 last year!

This year, Team Transformation is back at it again, training together and raising funds for this incredible cause. One of the secret side benefits of what we do (and it might even be the main point) is that it gives us an excuse to get together, enjoy friends, and have fun – we invite you to join us! On Saturday, June 3^rd, we will be hosting Fun in the Moment: a FUN-draiser for the Avon 39 Walk to End Breast Cancer!

Join us for a day of fun classes and a silent auction to raise money for this cause!

SCHEDULE:

10:00am – Doors Open – participants can enjoy coffee, snacks and peruse silent auction.

11:00 – 11:45am – Yoga with Joe Cilmi

12:00 – 12:45pm – Improv with Eric Ruben and Susan Finch

1:00 – 2:30pm – The Joy of Walking with Michael Hanko

At some point after Michael’s class, Silent Auction winners will be announced. Come to one or all of the activities!
