I woke up early this morning, long before light, and was overcome with the experience:
I love my life.
I read some messages from friends of mine, conversing with each other about projects they’re involved in, and was touched by their brilliance, generosity, spirit and heart.
I love my life.
Today is the day I get the results of a recent breast biopsy. This is the last morning before my life path apparently dramatically changes. In fact, it’s just another fork in the road, one I haven’t seen before.
One road is to breast cancer and all that entails and acting upon what needs to be addressed. The other has a benign diagnosis and that path would be decidedly different.

Standing in our dining room, the dark house all around me and our cat, Baby, winding around my feet, I realized I don’t have to wait to get an answer I think I want in order to be happy.
I love my life.
Shya awoke. Delighted to see him, I gave him a sip of my coffee and a morsel of chocolate, a sweet morning greeting.
I love my life.
It’s dry in here, the winter weather drying the air. Oops. Shya got a nosebleed. Vibrant red spots adorn our ivory bath rug. Time to unexpectedly stop writing to do laundry.
Here I am again at my computer.
I love my life.
Addendum by Ariel: It was ultimately determined that I did have breast cancer. The surgery has been successfully performed and the treatment is ongoing.
And yes, I love my life.
