Do you ever find yourself hesitant to Speak Up in teacher meetings, the classroom, or in professional development? Are you ready to enjoy simply Speaking Up and making a dramatic impact on your students, colleagues, and/or staff?

Speak Up! is designed to support educators in the following areas:

  • Clearer, more focused lessons that engage all learners
  • More effective classroom discussions
  • Greater ability to listen to student responses, assess accurately, and respond to student needs
  • More effective teacher teams, with an improved ability to listen and communicate in teams and staff development

Join internationally acclaimed seminar leader Ariel Kane and professional speech and voice coach Susan Finch in a light and fun series of classes that will set you up to communicate confidently, clearly and easily, regardless of the circumstances.

This course is appropriate for teachers, teacher-leaders, staff developers, coaches, and administrators. Ariel Kane is an educational leadership consultant with the New York City Department of Education (Vendor #ARI225637). Speak Up! is aligned to Danielson Framework for Teaching, and supports educators in all aspects of communication and effectiveness.

Speak Up Susan Finch

Susan Finch has been teaching speech for over twenty 25 years using The Edith Skinner Method, as well as a transformational approach. She currently teaches at The Juilliard School and NYU’s Atlantic Theater Acting School. Susan also offers private classes in accent reduction as well as classes for actors. She teaches business professionals and corporate clients that include Fortune 500 companies. She has recently been hired by Audible to perform their audio books.
