Working On Yourself Doesn't Work: The 3 Simple Ideas that will Instantaneously Transform Your Life was published by McGraw-Hill in October 2008. Originally released in 1999, the earlier version of this book became the number one best seller on Amazon.com's Self Help/Personal Transformation and Satisfaction browse lists within three months of its original release and had sold more than 20,000 copies. Working on Yourself Doesn't Work has been used as a teaching text for First Nations (Canada's Indigenous Peoples) and the Unity Church. The book has been translated into German, Japanese and Russian.
The Kanes' book, How to Create a Magical Relationship: The 3 Simple Ideas that will Instantaneously Transform Your Love Life, was originally released in September 2006 and was republished by McGraw-Hill in December 2008. This book was the winner of the 2007 Nautilus Book Awards in the category of Relationships/Men & Women's Issues, a Notable Winner of the 2007 Eric Hoffer Award in the Health/Self-Help category and a finalist in the Foreword Magazine 2007 Book of the Year Award in the categories of Family & Relationships and Self Help. Windpferd Press released the German translation in February 2006. Being Here, Modern Day Tales of Enlightenment was released in September 2007 and has been met with critical acclaim. It was also a finalist in the Foreword Magazine 2008 Book of the Year Award in the category of Self Help. It has been republished in German under the title Sein.
How to Have A Match Made in Heaven: A Transformational Approach to Dating, Relating and Marriage is the most recent book from Ariel & Shya, released in September 2012. The sequel to How to Create a Magical Relationship, How to Have A Match Made in Heaven offers real, practical ways men and women can create harmony and happiness in their relationships, whether they are single or divorced, dating or married. This unique book includes links to companion videos and audios of the Kanes working with clients. These mini-sessions allow you to feel like you are right there having a direct experience of those "aha" moments when a person's life transforms in an instant. It is the Gold Medal Winner of the prestigious Mom's Choice Awards, the Silver Medal Winner of The Nautilus Book Awards and Winner of the National Indie Excellence Award, all in the category of Relationships. "In the Moment," the Kanes' column, was published in New York Spirit Magazine (formerly Free Spirit) from 1992 to 2005. They are regular contributors to Wisdom Magazine and have also produced many articles for national and international publications. In addition, they have been frequent guests on a variety of national radio and television outlets, including the CW Network, CBS News, Fox News, Sirus Satellite Radio and National Public Radio. Their sophisticated and well executed website is available in four languages: English, German, Spanish and French.
In addition to their interactive seminars in the US, Europe, and Central America, books, and consulting work, the Kanes also have a weekly Internet radio show called Being Here. They offer a newsletter, The Excellence Club, and a monthly subscription series, The Premium Excellence Club, which features weekly mini-video and audio consulting sessions and articles of the month. They also have downloadable audio seminars.
Shya Kane has led seminars in communication, effectiveness, time management and personal transformation for more than 35 years. He has a degree in Anthropology from New York University.
Prior to leading seminars, Ariel Kane was a successful actress, working on stage, in network television and films. She is an award-winning photographer* and currently holds six women's world records with the International Game Fish Association for fish caught with a fly rod, including one for a 114lb 5oz Pacific Sailfish caught on 12lb test tippet. (The line breaks with less than 12 pounds of pressure.)
